Frequently Asked Questions
Our primary, preferred method is microsuction, as this tends to be the safest, cleanest, and most comfortable method of earwax removal. We’ll still use irrigation where absolutely necessary, but we can treat most people with a quick and hassle-free microsuction procedure.
For treatments at our clinic, we charge £45 for clearing a single ear, and £60 for both. If you come in for a consultation and we find there’s no wax to clear, we’ll charge £20.
In most cases, not at all! Unlike with syringing or irrigation, microsuction ear wax removal doesn’t require the usual 1-2 weeks of ear drops use to soften up the wax. Preparation isn’t essential, and you’ll typically be able to come in for an appointment with no prior softening. However, if you’ve been suffering with an earwax build-up for a long time, we’d recommend using olive oil for a few days before the appointment to ensure you get the best results.
